PROGRAMS

Today there are 1.5 billion Muslims in the world and many more in the US and Europe. Unfortunately, the church is not well prepared to meet the challenge of evangelizing Muslims or planting churches in Muslim communities. We train more than 100 Ethiopian missionaries to do these things every year and have done so for 5 years (as of 2012) with more than 600 having been sent out from this program. If you are interested in a hands-on learning experience in topics like: The Teaching of the Qur’an; Muslim Traditions; Muslim Evangelism and Church Planting; or Understanding Muslim Culture; and you are interested in personal hands-on learning environment, Contact Dr. Gary Munson for current learning opportunities both with or without academic credit. Dr.gary@shilohbiblecolleges.com.

 Academic Programs

Why Not Study at SBCE?  If you are interested in exploring and learning about international missions work, why just read about it in a book? Why not study in Ethiopia and find out first hand what it is like to live in another culture, do international missions work, and connect with students and missions organization working abroad. Many opportunities are available to be involved in ministry of all kinds.

Who should consider a study abroad program?

  1. Pastors and soon to be pastors who want to gain some international experience.
  2. Missionaries and missions minded Christian leaders.
  3. Every Christian serious about the Great Commission
  4. YOU

Semester Abroad Program

SBCE is an approved school for many semester abroad programs. If you are interested to study in Ethiopia for a semester please contact us and put us in touch with your college, university or seminary representative. If there is no established program perhaps you may still be able to study in Hawassa for a semester and then transfer the units back to your home school. Contact us to help you make such arrangements at AcademicDean@SBCE-online.org.

Bachelor of Arts in Missiology

Why study to be a missionary or international Christian worker in the US? You can learn more about doing missions work by living in another nation than you ever learn in the classroom. Why not learn another language, do fieldwork, get involved in ministry during your studies and build relationships with key missions leaders in Ethiopia. Contact us for details at AcademicDean@SBCE-online.org. This program is subject to current regulations concerning Student Visas in Ethiopia.

Summer or January Term courses

You can do one of our hands-on experience based summer or January term courses and arrange for credit at your home college, university or seminary. Contact us for current course offerings and schedules at AcademicDean@SBCE-online.org.

 Non-Academic Programs

Perhaps you are a Christian who is interested to learn more about how you can get involved in missions work, you interested to be involved in short-term missions work, are involved in your church missions committee or you just want to check out an international missions experience? Contact Dr. Gary Munson at Dr.Gary@shilohbiblecolleges.comfor information on currently available opportunities.
