Ethiopian Students

Ethiopian students are normally involved with the work of their own local churches and denominations but the college also sponsors outreach projects to various parts of Ethiopia that can be joined for practical ministry experience by all SBC students. Last year a team visited Tigray to work with the Evangelical Churches Fellowship. Active student participation in various ministries of outreach and church planting is required for graduation with student involvement in both college organized and church organized projects.

 International Students

International Students have opportunity to become personally involved in ministry activities:

  • Jesus Film outreach teams in cooperation with Great Commission
  • Rift Valley Vision Project – Our partner ministry RVVP engages in outreach to many unreached areas of Ethiopia including ministry to Muslims and followers of African Traditional Religions.
  • Teams working in the South Omo area among unreached tribal groups such as Hamar, Surma, Bode, Tarra, and others. These teams cooperate with ongoing ministries active in these areas doing medical outreach, educational programs and gospel preaching through oral story telling approaches.
  • Gospel preaching teams around Southern Ethiopia in cities, towns and in the countryside.
